I'm having trouble locating rollers for the sliding entry door to the salon on my 1974 33' Viking. I've scoured the internet but no luck . Any help would be appreciated

    Hi,

Are the rollers just on the one side lor both like shown in the link by NYCAP?

Those rollers look like smaller cage roller bearings, can't you just get more to match from a bearing shop and put them on?

I realise this might involve a bit of re engineering if these were never designed to be removed but if you do it once they will be easy to replace next time.

When I purchased my 35 Convertible, I also had problems with the salon doors. I contacted Viking in New Jersey and they were able to sell me the rollers and track to repair my doors. This was in 2001 so I am not sure that they still have them in stock. The rollers were sold individually and the track came in 6' lengths. Hope this helps.

thanks for your information. Yes, I did contact Viking regarding these rollers and was advised that the manufacturer has discontinued them . They are mane by the Hettich-Grant Co. The part is called a #1532 swivel carrier. I've been in touch with the maker with no success. I've also been tracking down the product distributors with the hope of location them. NO Luck. I'' keep trying.

As NYCAP has already said this is an easy fix. Take the ass'y to an industrial bearing house. They will cross reference the actual bearing, and supply you with shoulder bolts to reattach the new bearings.
    Cost about $7 a bearing.

    This is what we found.

Teak Isle - Boat Sliding Door Truck B - .975" Tall #016-1038 This is the truck. 2 needed per door.

Teak Isle - Boat Sliding Door Black Upper Track #148-1164 This is the track
Needed to take old track out and filler piece that was on top to make room for new track. Then drilled and tapped right into door frame. 10/24 machine screws.

They really slide now so when underway you will want to make sure the floor lock is in place:)

Let us know if you need any help with this. We looked for 2 years for a solution.

Thanks for the reply. My boat is a 35' but I'm thinking that it's the same basic design as a 33. Our boat has plastic? blocks instead of rollers. I will see if these rollers will work.
