... well, not exactly a new yacht launch! Here's a re-print from the Palm Beach Post... **********************************************
Very long delay in getting into the site, even on a 16meg link!! Houston we have a problem, too much traffic!! Campo, do you have a spare server to give them?
I was lucky to get in there and here is the "lift-off" -moment and our friend in space a couple of minutes later...
yes the website is busted now from too much traffic. nice the launch was played clearly although it was a bit small picture. next live is on monday starting 18:45 GMT when they dock with the space station
the site is back you can see the highlights of the launch and see them dock with the ISS live at 19:12 GMT today.
Simply amazing... The technology to put us in space. The technology for us to watch. ... and I still can't program my VCR!
My friends and I will be attempting to make radio contact with the crew via HAM radio during CS's stay on the ISS. Not only can we watch, we can talk with them too!!!!
Not to side-track this thread, but Charles in Space should be nominated for a Web Award. The interface and layout is excellent. Thanks William!
