What happened this morning. Site was down till about 4pm. Redirecting to a generic search/place holder page.
DNS issues. Took awhile to resolve. The problem stems from a Commodore 64 administrator operating in a Pentium environment. Some extraneous issues were at play but too tired to delve into the details. Been a digitally challenging day. Logging off.
It is still down periodically...I only JUST was able to get back on...was down for me so far for the morning.
We weren't hacked but it was related to an attack. Because of this I was migrating YF to a new server with a new IP address when everything went wrong. We're still on the original server for now. After I put the pieces of the puzzle back together I'll give it another shot. I chose Friday to port the forums because it's typically the slowest day of the week - especially Friday nights - which gives me some wiggle room if anything goes wrong.
