    Funny Beau!

How do you walk away from a grenade detonating that close to your body? He had to take some shrapnel, no?

I think the rubber pontoon absorbed it and was directly between him and the grenade.....it's amazing how quickly it detonated though.

Watch the guy who wound up next to the center console. He took some concussive blow, if not schrapnel. In the background they are laughing, until the other goes over to assist. That's when the filming stopped. What the heck are all those cans about?

    Hi,

I think they are buckets to put all the fish in that they were hoping to bring to the surface.

That would be very interesting to read. Particularly what the people in the background are saying post explosion. Do you guys think this might have been a commercial operation, rather just that two sots in a boat? They seem to be tied off a larger boat.

    Not military

Likely it was a flash/bang grenade.

If you look at it frame by frame, there are 4 cans (with apparently sealed lids) sitting on the deck forward. As the explosion goes off there are about 6 cans flying through the air plus what looks like a bucket from the aft end. At the end of the clip there are still 4 cans on the deck, what looks like a bucket floating nearby and none of the other cans in sight.

    Something is odd ...

Everyone always has a different take on a situation.

Early into the clip there is a split second that a 5th bucket is seen. The depth of the floor compared to the height of the buckets suggests 2 stacks of buckets? 10 on deck, six fly away, 4 left. The buckets are also closer to the camera, which is not giving a very wide angle view of the bow. The bucket in the rear is barely in view at the end.

    Denis(name) Yes...
    Cameras ready...
    Silence...
    And...
    Go...
    No more tender...
    I understood...

My friend's Russian is very rough so his translation maybe very different to your friend.
    His version:
    Sergey: You ready ?
    Vasili :…..Yes?
    Sergey: Camera ready ok.
Vasili: My countdown is 1 MISSISSIPPI…2 MISSISSIPPI 3 MISSISSIPPI

Sergey: NO, NYET it is 1 Okeechobee, 2 Okeechobee 3 Okeechobee
Vasili: Okee who bee? No, no I use Mississippi, is good.
    Sergey: Must be Okeechobee
Vasili: Okay I try…1 Okeeechewbay 2 Oka eh How you say it?
Ok 3 Okeechoochoobee…sheet is hard to say Okee……
    BOOM
