Shore power problem.

    This is behind the main panel, where the power line from the inlet (A) connects to this contraption… a relay..? Not even sure what this is here. All black wires labeled in red here show hot on my contact free volt meter. Everything on the right is dead. When main breaker is switched on, the vessels volt meter briefly ticks up, then drops to zero. None of the breakers pop. Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks.

    I'm seeing two high voltage contactors there. Apparently not engaging? What do the grey and white wires connect to relative to your label C? Those appear to be calling the contractors...

    These wires look awfully thin for any kind of main shorepower connection but maybe that explains why one of the neutral connector has been cooked

    what kind/size boat?

    Looks like a Carver auto gen-set / shore transfer.
    What boat mfg do you have?

    That one fried crimp has to be replaced NOW.

    Looks like two double pole double throw contactors for your air conditioning reverse cycle heat units and various control panel switches throughout the boat for the AC units.

    don’t think it has to do with the shore power coming into the boat .

    I think you have to look elsewhere for your problem possibly?

    You would be amazed what some mfgs used for auto transfer switches.
    Still waiting for a confession of the boat brand.

    Repair the burned wire , then get a can of electrical contact cleaner and spray where they spark. Unless you blew a silver contact pad completely off, this will get you by for awhile.

    Whilst enjoying a Cape May IPA , cooking Thanksgiving day side dishes on the old Princess range And listening to Pink Floyd “shine on you crazy diamond “aboard my Yacht..lol, I see the right contactor is burned up a bit along with the burned up wire.
    Like wdrzal said, give that a try.
    Other wise get a new Double pole double throw contactor from Grainger etc./on line..

    But , something made that thing burn up and that needs to be looked into also.
    Something could be overloading the contactor….

    It's usually the 30A connect or cable that fries first. SWAG, that contact set goes to the A C equipment.
    The OPs arrows point to the other contact set where we do not any burnt crimps.

    So, Blown service entry breaker, fried 30A service entry plug, fried 30A shore cord, maybe some other things, then that contact set.
    Yep, in that order to start looking for trouble.

    I'm sure there is a tech in Hilton Head. I'm 5 hours aweigh.

    A loose connection would be high on my list. After rereading the op post it is likely that coil isn't sucking the contactor closed. Try manually pushing it closed.
