shaftlengths on a 1973 Hatteras 58' YF

    anyone know what they are ? (they a coupled under water between the struts, butt to butt or is there space filled by the coupling)

    A quick call to Hatteras Yachts tommorow should get you the answer you're looking for. I used to run a 1979 58' Hatteras YF for several years, and remember the shafts were long, the coupler coupled the 2 shafts together. The one I was on, the owner added intermediate struts which helped support the shafts and also helped keep vibration down.
