as mentioned in the other Danfoss Sea Recovery thread, i've had numerous issues with the black and white touch screen on our 900 GPD Aquamatic Modular Sea Recovery, installed in 2008. within a year of install, it developed a couple of black lines across the screen. at that time, the dealer (Beard Marine, FTL) suggested that it didnt' impair operation and that replacement was not necessary. since then, the number of lines has increased to the point where some of the data can't be read. in the meantime, we also had to replace 2 control boards in the screen, one under warranty, one at our expenses. is this a common issue with these screens? havent contacted SR yet, but since i see a Danfoss SR rep. is now on the forum, i figured i'd post this...
Yes, I went through the same troubles as you on the same touch screen. Then a newer "updated" model was supposed to have come out, after replacing the screen once, the owner didn't want to spend the money and left it as is......
Pascal, Interesting. My winter project was the install of the 750GPD Sea Recovery system. Immediately, our remote touch screen would not respond to finger touches after the install was complete. Ours are the color touchpads. We purchased the entire system from Beard Marine, but had Southern Gulf Yacht Services do the install. They came right out to replace the pad and it started working on its own after a couple of resets. He left us an extra one just in case. They don't seem too expensive. You might look into upgrading if possible to the newer pads. Ken
Update... Finally ordered a new screen... Even worst than i thought. $1446 for the screen (updated) but we also need an $823 bypass kit for the new screen to be compatible with the 5 year old pump... What a rip off... They can't built a **** screen to last a few years and then it s $2200 Plus shipping from California to the dealer in So Fl Then I have to replace all the nylon lines between the various components because the idiot installer tied them to tight with zip ties and I ve had 4 leaks on the past 2 years, spraying salt water everywhere.
Know you're not a newbie; but welcome to the world of boating. Now you know why boats are referenced in the Female gender.
