I've recently noticed that some sportfishers have a canvas extension off of the aft overhang that covers the cockpit. It looks like a neat idea but I was wondering how it affects your fishing. I know it would be hard to get a line up to the center rigger but I think you could solve that by having the shade hinged in the middle. Does anyone here have any experience with a set up like this?
The aft shade is hinged as you can see in the photo, and usually a line is run up to the bridge with a locking block and you can pull it over in half, and see the aft half of the cockpit. You can't always see whats going on at the angler in a fighting chair.....but you can see well enough.
