    I was really hoping you were going to say someone built it on a salvage hull in their driveway. At least that's a valued excuse for the end result.

    In looking it up, Island Pilot 53 with IPS900 was designed in 2010 and first U S delivery in 2011 from China.
    No word on the second build.
    They made similar smaller models. I found a few on Yacht Wired from 2006 at 39' with Volvo Stern drives.
    Were to be built with better materials, fit & finish.
    It looks a lil top heavy but I don't think it's that fugly.

    Anybody seen my lil work boats lately? They are ugly...

    That thing, or a sister-thing is docked in my neighborhood, at a dock that belongs to the owners of a high-end waterfront seafood joint on the ICW where lunch and a few drinks will set you back $150.
    Taking Odin out tomorrow, will shoot a picture and compare..:(:mad:
