hey folks, I've been thinking of installing a fighting chair on my boat. I have a viking 47C, is there anything special that needs to be done to the cockpit floor before installation? I saw the release marine battle saddle and any idea how much they cost.
Check with Viking. I know CABO installs a heavy duty Aluminum plate in the deck of all of their boats when they're built, with the intention of people mounting fighting chairs, so all you do is drill the holes and tap them. I am sure Viking, Hatteras, and others most likely do the same
