Programming a Ranco 2 stage thermostat?

This should be easy but for some reason I'm screwing up the set points on my Ranco thermostat. There is a refrigerator on the same compressor and it works fine. Does any one have recommended set points for each of the stages? Simple I know and I've done it before but it's eluding me now even with the manual.
