I am looking for information of the boats produced by post in the early years. I see lots of information about them after the 42' was introduced but nothing before but a couple misc. posts about a 40'. It seems like the pre-1975 years are lost in the dark ages.

Specifically, how many boats did post produce with a broken sheer? It seems the 42 and later all had a swept sheer. Did it disappear with the 40 around 1973? How many before that? What was the impetus that changed the style? Any info and especially pictures appreciated.

You might want to try the new owner down in the Chesapeake for those types of records.

Post Marine used to have all that info on their website before going bankrupt. Worton Creek must have that info somewhere but they chose not to show on their website. There used to be pictures of Russell Post himself doing sea trials of every boat he built.
