I have just purchased an older generation 600 lb NS davit and was intending to use it with a Highfield RIB with a 15 hp 2 stroke. Now I am thinking 11' whaler with the 15 hp ….. I realize the vessel likes to be FWD light , can anyone shed some light on what to expect , pros , cons , etc , etc …. Thanks in advance...

I run a 44Viking . When I put my 11' center console RIB on the bow I increase fuel consumption by about 2GPH in order to maintain same speed. It weighs about 450lbs .

Not really, 30hp with 20gal of fuel plus the actual boat, pretty easy to get to that number.
Point is weight up front is expensive on any less than 50ft.
