Last cleaning my diver noted that both rudders have a pink hue to them. I didn't get photo confirmation but both rudders were coated with the shark skin material 18 months ago although most of that product is probably thinned out. Talking to the dive shop manager its a sign of age and/or de-alloying. 2005 43'. Plan to haul out end of the year for maintenance.

Probably galvanic corrosion. Check zinc and binding. How are the props ?

What metals (copper, tin, zinc, other) does SharkSkin pant have in it?
Could be a reaction between the paint and rudder.

The wheels look normal, will check the bonding wires, the centerline transom zinc is on the lower end of its life. No zincs on rudders shafts or struts due to the internal bonding

So, there are bonding straps connected to the rudder posts or tiller arms?
So many boats out there bond everything including the thru hull shaft log to the rudder,,, but then no strap on the rudder.
We have all been the conversations on how Cabo luvs there big stern zinc plate.
