    Spotted on the south side of Peanut Island (for our international viewers, that's inside the inlet in Palm Beach). At first glance, looks like a Hatt but maybe a Roamer?

    Looks just like a Hatt 58 or 65 LRC, but not due to no cockpit. Some sort of Hargrave design. Might even be a Cheoy Lee.

    I believe that is a Striker 54' aluminum MY. It looks curiously similar to a 1973 model for sale recently in So. FL.

    Striker built a flush deck motoryacht? Never saw one before. I lived at the yard one summer (circa 1969-1970) while my mom's boat was getting a refit.

    How many were built Eric?

    The Pulpit and cap rails are like the original Strikers. Could this be a Derecktor build?
    Also some built in Lantanna (North Boynton) for a short time.
    So long ago, so much cheap rum.

    I went by it closer a few weeks ago. Almost positive it's a defeaver. Striker built a few MY's. There's around an 80' Striker MY that sits at Blue Moon Fish Company and is a charter boat. The name escapes me at the moment

    The listing info that I found for this boat suggests that there were 5 built to a Krogen design. Judy @ JWY may have more info as I believe she has represented one of these in the past.

    Did it wash ashore recently or was it a casualty from Irma? If so I m surprised it s still there unless it was pretty much abandoned

    There was a 60 something flushdeck washed along the Venetian causeway during Irma, stayed afloat for a couple of weeks and then partially sunk. But that boat was semi derelict in the nearby anchorage

    They're still picking up wrecks here the grove... barges with cranes lifting sailboats.

    I'm a bit stumped by this one. At first I thought it might be a Hatteras 58 LRC or a Cheoy Lee LRC. Eric, it's not the Treworgy Krogen to which I think you are referring. I would venture to guess that it might be aluminum or steel since it is still afloat in spite what must be a fair amount of banging, bashing into the rocks. Can anyone read the name on the transom?

    Been there since Irma. Surprised she's still sitting there. Where several sailboats washed up as well and they were removed within a couple weeks of the storm.

    Looks like YF's historian is correct. I never would have associated this with Krogen.

    I think it's fiberglass. When I went by it, it had washed up during the hurricane but the water level must have been much higher than normal at the time, because it's sitting there hard aground and doesn't look like it's getting moved around with the tide. I saw it several weeks ago and concur it's from the hurricane.

    That island always confused me. County, State or Fed park?
    If I remember correctly, the old C G Station contained a back up bunker for JFK.

    SeaEric, good call. Looking at pics, the bow is definitely Striker design with a metal bulwarks, bow pulpit, welded railing base to heavy rubbing strake on shear. Nice looking rig for a 1973 model. Says a lot about the strength of metal boats. Always liked those Strikers.
