'Some months ago, we began putting together a sail from Nw England to Peru via the Panama Canal. But the web page for the Canal has been somewhat complex. They are obviously mostly directed to major tonnage, commercial vessels. We are talking a 36' sailboat. Would there be a way to go as part of a group of craft of various tonnages? Does any memb have some input to this? Appreciate the reply. D. D.':(

If you're asking about whether your 36' boat will be going through with much bigger commercial boats. The answer is almost certainly. The Canal Authority makes those decisions and they're good at it.
If you're trying to get a bunch of buddy boats through together, that's going to be a bit tougher. You should probably start talking to an agent very early in the process. We used Enrique Plummer last December and will use him again going back through next month. I highly recommend him. You can email him at eplummer10@hotmail.com. Good luck.
