PJ's "World" is on the splash page of YF, uploaded on April 7th. Not sure why they are publishing this now, possibly because automotive news is slow, much like marine industry news during summer. On that note, not all Press Releases qualify as news on YF, such as a hull being turned over, or a superstructure being added. In some cases, yards bombard the media with PR's to generate buzz. I think time is a precious commodity, especially for buyers and owners. This is why I try to be selective about the news we publish. While I fully understand the desire to see the latest and greatest (I'm guilty of the same), I've come to learn that news has little long term value, especially on the net. In a day or three... it's history. What has lasting value are the opinions and expertise shared in the forums... as well, the reviews we do. One needs to look no further than the stats. Reviews generate 1000's of views in a few days. In contrast, news rarely gets more than a few hundred views, often much less, over several months. Come to think of it, all of these numbers pale in comparison to the banners on YF. In May, each banner advertiser received just short of 400,000 impressions. June was just under 375,000. We're averaging about 9 million page views each month.
Man, they really are slow in that case. My bad for forgetting the article from April. Like you said though... news gets old fast. (And it's a well known fact that my memory retention is on par with a goldfish's.... just ask my wife.)
PJ's Global Explorer Yacht Well I guess I'm really behind times. I was just looking thru Boat USA International and saw a two page spread on this vessel. Looks interesting...possible a little military-ish. Certainly lots of straight lines compared to all of those bouncing, curvy lines of many of today's big power yachts. I like the effect...purposeful rather than whimsical Photos and illustrations always help, so I thought I would add one here.
