    The question is still: Why...?
(Just because you can does not mean you should)

I like how the news site points out that it's a "motorized" jet-ski...

Because, you know, there are other kinds.

    We vote "cool."

Why? Because he can and enjoys it. Is that any different than asking why someone buys a 50 year old boat in horrible condition and spends year and a large portion of their life savings restoring it?

If this scooter is the underpinnings of that 93 SeaDoo SPX, he should really get credit for the balancing act he's performing. The hull on that bathtub of a boat isn't light!

As a Biker and also a Sailor, may I say I hate both of them?

The kid is 23 years old and he's already built a proof of concept vehicle. Somebody hire him!

Restoring a classic boat makes sense, kind of..
Creating a hybrid scooter/PWC does not.
Then again, I have no idea why people believe in religion or watch sports on TV, makes no sense to me..

I have a feeling that scooter is WAY overweight. I too ask WHY. That thing must be scary to ride as it must handle horribly.

Come on guys, this is cool. If for no other reason, it's happy news, nothing political, nothing from the left or right, it doesn't involve senate hearings, and no one was shot. I'm feeling so happy already, I'm going to leave the office and hunt down a Bloody Mary!!

Attach a foot peddle that pushes down a stand on each side so the leg doesn't have to stretch so far and maybe a wheel cover keel and I think he's just about there. One question though: How does he cool the motor while on the road?

Not sure of the underlying mechanics, but likely a closed loop system?
