Fire started overnight, no injuries reported. A 25 foot boat was also sunk and another damaged. You can see a short video of the aftermath here. http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/Fire-Destroys-Pricey-Yacht-In-Haverstraw-20110901-APX

I remember seeing her up there last spring. Beautiful boat. Anybody know who built her or any history.
i think that SF styled flybridge was an eye sore and ruined the lines of an otherwise good looking boat. btw, did you see the interior? check it out on yacht world but be ready to have nightmares after seeing all the glitter!
It's a Vitech. http://www.**************/boats/2007/Vitech-Motor-Yacht-1992352/New-York/NY/United-States
I always thought it looked like somebody read the plans wrong... if a boat ever needed a 12' cockpit extension.
I mean no offense here, but that boat has to be one of the ugliest vessels I have seen both on the interior and exterior. I'd love to know who designed that interior and what he/she was smoking - $3.7m asking - really? The owner probably lit the **** thing on fire because he couldn't sell it for anywhere near what he had into it.
I actually like the exterior, if the boat was a bit longer that is. Now most of the interior, pass the matches please.
I saw that yacht at a marina here in CT a year or two ago. I inquired who built it & one of the guys said the name but added "its an electrical system disaster"
