Quite a few big yachts in Lauderdale now: In this order: Athena, Kismet, Fortunato and the two Gallant Ladies. There were many more!
Nice pics CapLady. I especially like the last one of the 2 "Galant Ladies". The newer one is to the fore right? More pointed fore superstructures and a bit longer than the one aft.
Hi CaptLady and thank you for the Venice of America pics. I went by Pier 66 and Bahia Mar on Friday, returning from a sea trial. Athena is almost magical in presence. I did a review on her about 4 years ago. She's seen a good number of views since then, eclipsing 100,000 YF readers last summer. But since she took up position on 17th Street Causeway, the number of views have accelerated. The review just passed 150,000 views... http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/royal-huisman-yacht/3738-review-royal-huismans-athena.html And Kismet isn't far behind either, with nearly 75,000 views. Both Athena and Kismet are among our largest reviews to date. Here's Kismet... http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/lurssen-yacht/7997-review-lurssen-yachts-224-kismet.html Again, thank you for the pics. It's nice to re-visit.
Oh yea, I could not remember how long the new one is but I knew they were of similar length. But now I look at the pic again I realise that the one in the back has the gold badge on her bow which would make her the new one.
CapLady, Nice shots. More yachts are coming back to FL to prep for the summer season. Here's a shot from the other day around sunset.
Nice article on the schooner Athena and stunning pictures, thanks Carl. It reminded me why sailing yachts have soooo much more class than stink-potters and it also reminded me that I am in the wrong business..
