On Lobanov project pictures she looked very beautiful and attractive because she was almost two times longer there that makes her slim.
But what I saw In reality ....
She remind me "Amevi" the same short and bulky kind of budjet ship.
Minimum length with maximum inderdeck space.:(

Mein got! What have they done to that beautiful design? She seems to be of the same length as the design, but the transom is shorter, and certainly looks "bulky and short". Someone started making changes to that project, and the result is akward to say the least.

Y708 is under first sea trials... oh I am definitly not the biggest fan of her lines. I waited so eagerly for her, she looked soo good on these renderings but now I am a bit disappointed.

Can you repost some links to some images?? The two links in your OP are not working...I think I did see Y708 on the Google Earth Marine option at the Alblasserdam yard....

    Cheers,

She doesn't look that bad as you are suggesting Milow. She's interesting in the distance shots. The mast certainly looks different with the extra SAT-COM balls added.

The latest Hodgdon Tender is definitely for Y708. The baby blue boot is the same colour and style as on the OceAnco.

Okay could you upload it to youtube and then post it here possibly? Does anyone know what the name she is giving off on her AIS?

    It's online:

    Dutch Mega Yachts

She left the Oceanco facility very early about 04.00 this morning, sea trails, then from 12.30 till 16.15 in Scheveningen port, now back in Alblasserdam at the yard.
Her AIS is what it has always been, Y708.

My God you are right. The end result in my opinion has ruined the initial beautiful design. What would be the reason behind shortening the transom? Surely not cost saving....

You would expect such a large and expensive yacht to have them all around? Nice evening photo of Y708! First time I see her underwater lights.
No light from the bulb vertical to the bow such as Quatroelle has?

I guess you can say it is a new trend but lots of larger yachts have uplights in their bulb to light the bow for that added effect. "Quattroelle", "Katara", "Al Mirqab", "Eclipse", "Pelorus", I think "Northern Star", "Phoenix2" the refitted "Attessa IV" etc have it.

But that gives longer. Pelorus and Pegasus V has also light in the bulb and they are almost 10 years old.

Yep, "Dilbar" has it too but let's not go off on an underwater light tangent...keep it to Y708 discussions.
