NorthStar Yachts is based in Kalama, Washington, along the banks of the Columbia River. North Star is headed up by Jerry Clark, a third generation yacht builder with an extensive background in building world-class motoryachts. The North Star yard is a state-of-the-art, 60,000 sq. ft. facility residing next door to Kelso/Longview, where they draw on the experience of some of the Northwest’s finest craftsmen. North Star Yachts presently employees 125 workers with an average of 15 years experience in the yacht building industry, with many of them having more than 30 years experience. In addition to Clark, there are four owners that are involved in the research and development, production and marketing of North Star Yachts. The Northwest, with its strong work ethic, has become legendary in its ability to build quality yachts. Shipbuilding, aerospace, and the computer industry have all prospered in this environment of hard working people. NorthStar is capable of building six yachts at a time from 74’ to 105’. Their yachts are designed by renown architects Jack Sarin and Ed Monk Jr. North Star Yachts are built to meet or exceed all proper standards in yacht construction. Hull lamination is to ABS standards and the entire vessel is built to ABYC standards.
