Some more info has been released on this build that should be coming out of the shed fairly soon. She will be a hefty 2,990 GT and use a diesel electric, battery bank, and Pod setup with 6kw of solar array. Steel superstructure with fiberglass hull and tons of glass. She certainly has a different design but am looking forward to the final product. I believe RWD is responsible for the interior that I hope we also get to see.
Are you sure that wouldn't be a steel hull and composite superstructure?? I don't think composite technology has progressed to the point of laying up a hull of that LOA quite yet. Maybe soon but not yet...
