33-meter "Al Duhail" Launched At Yachting Developments

New Zealand yard Yachting Developments is in the news again with the launch of a new large sportfish yacht. The 33-meter "Al Duhail" was craned into the water recently and represents the first launch for Yachting Developments of 2020. While Al Duhail isn't the largest build by this yard -that title goes to "Lanakai"- she still has an impressive 200GT compared to 267GT of the 2018 built 39.5-meter Lanakai.

Al Duhail is what was under construction at Yachting Developments as Hull 1017. The design of this sportfish is by Warwick Yacht Design while the interior was done in-house by Yachting Developments. On the interior the timber of choice was light Oak while there is white paneling throughout and light and cream colored carpets to realize a simple but elegant concept. The yacht is capable of sleeping up to ten guests in five cabins including a master suite and four other guest cabins.

Al Duhail is in the water now and is being prepared for sea trials. Her top speed is anticipated to be 30-knots using her two MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesels which have 2,000 horse power each. Cruising speed would easily be 20-knots. This project was sold to her owner a couple years ago and announced by the yard in 2018. With a name like Al Duhail is reasonably hints as to the region of ownership.
