Windy SR60 Flagship To Launch This Year

Windy Boats is presently working on their largest SR model to date, the SR60 which will take over as their new flagship. Windy Boats SR line vessels typically can be seen used as day boats and in yachting applications as chase boats. The just delivered Lurssen superyacht "NORD" carries two SR52s onboard in its internal main garage. that itself says a lot. The SR60 would be a step up from the SR52 and just recently the yard released images of how the Liaigre interior will look once completed.

The interior is a chic luxurious look which blends sophistication with a relaxing atmosphere. Below deck is where the interior is and one is expecting to find a two berth layout with a dinette area in the bow that surely doubles as a berth with a hi-lo table and mattress inserts. In the middle of the cabin is the kitchenette area to the port side offering generous counter space as well as a sink. There is a full sized bathroom onboard with enclosed stand-up shower stall. Just aft of the stairs that leads you up to the main deck, there is the aft cabin which can either be arranged as twin berths or one large double bed.

Below is a look at the bathroom setup onboard the Windy SR60. The interior should be customizable to a degree so the finish choices should be a bit more than what you see in the renderings. Either way, the interior and the bathroom are more than comfortable to serve those onboard for a day trip or as a chase boat or even a stand-alone small yacht.

Here is a look towards the aft in the cabin where the other berth is located. In the render it shows the arrangement as a full double bed. It is situated just aft of the main stairs that take you in and out of the cabin and aft of the bathroom. We await the finished product to see how it stacks up against the renderings. There are a number of engine options that are available to power this chase boat beast, all Volvo Penta. There is the Volvo Penta IPS 600, 650 and 800 that you can choose from. Which ever you choose, there will be three of that horsepower variant. Top speed is anticipated to be around 44-knots with a range of nearly 900 nautical miles at economical cruising speeds.
