  1. 85-meter Sailing Yacht "Aquijo" Delivered By Vitters ; OceAnco
It was an unlikely collaboration with a sailing yacht company coming together with a motoryacht manufacturer to build and finish a beast of a sailing yacht. Her name is "Aquijo" and many would have known her under her previous name and build numbers like Project 85, or hull 3069 (Vitters) or Y711 (OceAnco). As for her exterior design that work came by Tripp Design and Naval Architecture while the interior was done by Dolker + Voges. The owner wanted a combination that is rarely found on a sailing yacht - extensive space, comfort and luxury while surrounded by state-of-the-art technology both inside and out-. As Aquijo sets sail to conquer the world's oceans, she will be a dominant sight in many destinations.
  2. The interior is described as stunning and clean with a contemporary and modern look. With the large superstructure and plenty emphasis on glass, connection with the outdoors has been maintained and sight lines are ensured. Her two 90-meter masts are among the tallest in the world. The sail plan attached to them is designed to be both reliable and safe as well as simple to handle (increasing safety). Aquijo has a one-of-kind and unique steering system that allows for real-time feedback from the rudders. The system was developed by Vitters Shipyard and it allows direct feedback to the flybridge steering wheels so that the helmsman can feel the hydrodynamic forces on the rudders. Not only does it offer accurate feel to the person in command but brings back a true sailing experience to the helmsman. Aquijo will not be the last sailing yacht that OceAnco is involved with as they have Project 'Solar' finishing as we speak. The hull for the 106-meter Solar project arrived at OceAnco for finishing in mid 2014 and has a design by Nuvolari and Lenard.
