News: Third 24M Zeelander 8 "Solea" Launched; Delivered

The third unit in the Zeelander 8 model has been launched to the water and subsequently delivered to her owner. The first Zeelander 8 -which is the yard's largest model currently- was launched back in 2024 and named "Silver Dawn". Since then, in 2025, the second hull was launched, a mostly white vessel and called "Mojo". Now, the 3rd hull in the model has hit the water and is believed to be called "Solea".

Solea on the exterior in terms of the paint finish distinguishes herself from the previous two deliveries of the model with much darker tones certainly adding depth both on the exterior and the interior. In fact, the interior's main timber work is said to have been mastered and finished from 'Swamp Oak'. This is essentially timber that has been submerged on riverbeds for decades. This environment provided a unique natural process of darkening the wood from its absorption of different minerals and tannins over the years. Paired with sumptuous leather upholstery and Porsche Agate you can begin to understand the depth of this interior appeal.

Now that Solea has been completed, this third hull is expected to make her international debut at the 2026 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) in September. You may have seen the Zeelander 8 before but this particular hull is different and personalized from the other two. In fact, the owner spent time on a Zeelander 7 and that has informed his ideas and experience of what they wanted on the new boat.

Therefore that owner’s brief was underpinned on what the owner valued most about the experience on the Zeelander 7 and further enhanced that along with greater volume. The Zeelander 8 has an interior volume of around 85 GT. Performance is shown with her engine setup lead by four Volvo Penta IPS-1350 engines. Likely, this will make Solea the most powerful Zeelander 8 so far. She is said to have reached 40-knots during her trials thanks to the 4,000 horse power at her disposal. Her range is estimated to be approximately 630 nautical miles at 32-knots. At 7-knots continuously is approximately 2,700 nautical miles.
