  1. 85-meter Project 'Victorious' Technically Launched
Project 'Victorious' is an 85-meter superyacht currently under construction and has had more history attributed to it before it could even be delivered to an owner. The yacht has actually be in build for about fourteen years now originally starting at a yard called Marco Yachts in Chile and that did not materialize. Another well-known serial owner took on the project and moved it to New Zealand to be completed but that also never happened and the vessel was for sale. In 2016 it was sold to the current owner who sent it to Turkey to be completed at AK Yacht.
  2. The exterior is by Michael Leach but the interior has been changed to H2 Yacht Design which pushed back the project a bit again. At least Project Victorious has made it to the water again for final outfitting and finishing. This vessel wasn't always 85-meters either, you may recall in Chile it was called U-77 suggesting 77-meter length. Since then, it was lengthened at the stern and had a bowsprit added which extended her overall length to 85-meters. In the stern, that was lengthened to accommodate a lavish beach club which includes a pool as the center piece.
  3. The interior still pulls on original facets and textures but H2 Yacht Design have changed many things about the decor as well. Overall you will still find Teak and White Oak timbers but these are contrasted with other prized woods likes Walnut, Macassar and Eucalyptus. Natural stones like Calacata marble, Silver Travertine, Slate and Onyx have been used. Other materials incorporated include leather and linen, rippled glass and hammered bronze.
  4. Envisioned as an explorer yacht it carries a bow helipad which can serve for touch-and-go operations. Tender storage appears to be on the aft main deck given the crane located there and lock of an appropriately sized shell door in the hull. Two CAT 3512B main engines were originally installed which should afford a 15.5-knot top end and 13-knots at cruising. The range at cruising speed is estimated to be in the region of 6,000 nautical miles. Hopefully the Turkish yard can finish this yacht in 2021 and not add another year to a long and storied history.
