  1. 50-meter "Binta D'Or" Launched At Tankoa Yachts
The latest launch from Italian brand Tankoa Yachts recently splashed. She is a member of the 50-meter (49.9M) Hybrid line. The name given to the new yacht is "Binta D'Or". Binta usually can be understood as meaning African Queen. Binta D'Or is was built under the S502 number and also known as project 'Elettra' in build. The design is very similar to the first hull, "Vertige". She was built for a European owner and judging by the flag on the bow at launch the owner perhaps hails from France.
  2. With construction in all-aluminum the vessel is a sleek package. That is also thanks to a design by the staple of Italian design; Francesco Paszkowski. That firm along with Magherita Casprini is also responsible for the interior design you see below in the rendering. The interior will follow a modern contemporary theme with subdued tones anchoring the design. Binta D'Or has a five-cabin layout for guests and owner unlike the six-cabin layout on the 50-meter "Vertige".
  3. Being a Hybrid Yacht, the business end of this vessel will be its ability to vary its speed as well as its house load depending on what scenario is needed. In Diesel Electric Mode the vessel is able to extend her range to nearly 5,000NM but restricts her to around 10.5-knots. Tankoa says they have hull 3 and 4 already under construction in this 50-meter line. We believe that these hulls are being built under speculation.
