  1. Three-Deck Version Of SILENT 80
Austrian company SILENT Yachts, the company known for building its solar-powered catamarans is introducing a true three-deck 80-foot variant. The Third deck is really where the emphasis is on the model offering alot of square-footage in this size category. You can have it in an open flybridge variant with a large hardtop or it can be specified as an internal skylounge.
  2. Below we can see the following renderings has it set-up as a climate-controlled interior skylounge or closed. Being this is the highest deck on offer, the views from the sky lounge should be better than anywhere else on the vessel. Couple that with ample lounge and informal seating throughout the space, there is no shortage of area to relax and have a cocktail or meal in an alternative location.
  3. The open-plan variant is equally as nice offering a near-fully-covered flybridge just without the enclosed side and front windows. The open-plan also presents a different layout to this deck with al-fresco dining and a bar also corner nooks with cocktail tables. The versatility of the open-plan and skylounge variants can be easily seen.
  4. Of course, the center of attraction of these yachts is their ability to operate from the sun's energy and create minimal to no environmental impact. Silent running, no vibrations or fumes are all advantages that owners and guests will enjoy while being onboard a SILENT powered catamaran. Most of the upward and open surfaces are clad in thin photovoltaic skin and this is where the SILENT family draws its energy from. Being powered from the sun, directly and even indirectly like on cloudy days, the vessel can still operate.
  5. Theoretically, the SILENT 80 Tri-deck has an unlimited range and with 25-year solar panels warranty and 8-year warranty on the battery banks and near maintenance-free electric motors, this yacht would be an attractive proposition to many. Top speed is between 12 and 15-knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 6 to 8-knots.
