  1. Latest 'Long Island' 85 Sailing CAT Launches At JFA
French manufacturer JFA Yachts recently launched their latest yacht. It is a sub 100-foot sailing catamaran from the 'Long Island' 85 model family. In fact, it is the second hull in that series to be launched by the yard so far. The Naval Architecture design of the catamaran is by Marc Lombard while the interior is by Darnet Design.
  2. This yacht was launched to the water yesterday and has already had its mast stepped. Internally she will sleep as many as nine guests and up to four crew members. She differs from her sister (First hull christened "Windquest") with a splashy paint finish on the two hulls and a black mast and boom. The flying bridge is also slightly different on the second hull with a hardtop that can then be closed off to keep it climate controlled if the yacht is in colder areas of the world. In terms of construction, the hulls were fashioned from aluminum while the superstructure was made in composite. If she is anything like her sister, hull 2 should be fitted with a pair of 380 horse power Yanmar marine diesels.
