  1. SAY 52 By SAY Carbon Yachts
Building in fiberglass is one thing, building in Carbon Fiber is another thing. Regardless the construction material, bringing to life a design on paper to executing the build to such a degree that it is effortlessly cool and still aggressive on the water is a feat of dedication, skill and engineering. The SAY Carbon Yachts new SAY 52 is one of these examples and this model made its debut at the Palma International Boat Show earlier this year towards the end of April.
  2. The vision was clearly to create a supercar destined for the water. In fact, this was the idea from Karl Wagner, the Chief Technical Officer. Taking cues from the aviation and high-end automotive world, the build is not only mostly from carbon fiber but the types of shapes and angles solidify an aggressive yet, refined look both on the exterior and the interior. You can see those shapes being echoed throughout the interior on the SAY 52.
  3. The SAY 52 is representative of the leap the yard is taking to have an offering that breaks out of the Day-boat type bracket the yard has been known for. The SAY 52 is a full-fledge weekender-style boat. They took alot of what they learned from the SAY 42 inclusive of client feedback and fashioned the new boat around that knowledge.
  4. The glass-like covering on the foredeck not only cleverly incorporates a 'Y' in the design but it serves practical purpose of naturally lighting the forward lower deck. That area below comprises of the V-berth, dinette, Head area, general storage and drinks/wine cooler storage. The SAY 52 can comfortably take guests on weekend jaunts with ease. The €2,000,000 vessel is a very light boat for its size reportedly weighing 7.5-tonnes using half as much fuel as its competition. With 1,200 LT of fuel the vessel can easily handle weekend getaways within 300 nautical miles. Top speed is around the 45-knot mark.
