  1. First Sarp XRS 85 Launched In Turkey
The XRS 85 has been launched by Sarp Yachts in Turkey. The design you are seeing has been penned by Red Yacht Design who is also responsible for the interior. The design employs a composite Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) hull designed by Van Oossanen. The superstructure however has been made in carbon fiber. Mavi Marine acted as project management for the build of this particular vessel. This hull is the first of two XRS 85's the yard is working on. The second hull is in progress as well with a delivery time frame 6 to 8 months if all goes to plan. That vessel will be diesel-electric.
  2. The first hull doesn't have an owner and it appears it is still available. Delivery is anticipated for the end of this month and would be the perfect time for a new owner to take delivery if the boat ticks all-their boxes. A pair of MAN 800s are on board which should be able to run the vessel to a top speed of 21-knots. Dial back to 12-knots and the range increases to around 1,000 nautical miles with 7,850 LT of fuel onboard.
  3. Accommodation can be had for up to nine (9) guests and four (4) crew members all on the lower deck. Stand out features onboard include oversized windows in the main salon, cut-away bulwarks with glass inserts towards the bow to enhance sea views for those using the forward al-fresco lounging area. The bulwark is also lower outside of the main salon using railings to complete the required safety height. This enhances the view outward for guests. A fly-bridge is present on this yacht as well as extra seating and a secondary helm station.
