News: Perini Navi 42M E-Volution Sloop Sold

42-meter E-Volution Sloop Sold To Italian Client​

News emerges about the sale of the 42-meter E-Volution Sloop by Perini Navi. It was unveiled at last year's Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) but much has not been heard about it since then. It was announced with a 25M chase boat and that boat started construction and good news that the sloop has been sold, bought by an Italian client. The design is by Franco Romani from Perini Navi with Naval Architecture by Reichel/Pugh Design.

The design the the boat is much more contemporary and moves away from the traditional flybridge designs from this yard. The E-Volution project is more edgy and modern in lines and flow. Besides being a hybrid sailing yacht she will be fitted with carbon fiber boom, mast and rigging for lighter weight but strong accessories. The sails will also be laminated. For motoring operations there will be a diesel-electric set up. "The [yacht] forms part of a new range of products that we have been working on over the last year and is reporting notable success," says Lamberto Tacoli, chairman and CEO of Perini Navi.
