  1. First 24-meter+ From Palm Beach Motor Yachts
The first 24-meter-plus yacht from Palm Beach Yachts has been launched. It is the PB85 is now the yard's largest in-service vessel even though on the horizon, they have the PB107 promoting. For now, the PB85 is the company's first vessel fully over the 24-meter mark. The PB70 would have been the previous largest. Like most of the hulls they build it is constructed with the yard's V-Warp® Technology.
  2. Previous renders of the PB85 would have shown a flybridge version of the PB85 but the yacht completed does not have a flybridge and is in the 'Sedan' configuration. By-the-way, the first yacht is called "Falcon". The other two configurations of the PB85 include the 'Flybridge' variant as well as the 'Skylounge' version.
  3. On the interior the yard initially suggested that they would permit 3 or 4-cabin layouts for the new PB85. The largest cabins onboard though will be the full-beam master suite situated midships taking advantage of the full-width of the hull in that area as well as a cabin appointed well-enough to be the VIP berth in the bow. The third cabin would likely be a twin berth.
  4. In terms of performance the PB85 top speed is 26-knots while the fast-cruising speed is 23-knots. However, dial back the throttle to 21-knots and the range is estimated to be 700 nautical miles. At that speed the yacht consumes 58 gallons per hour. A pair of Volvo IPS 1350S @ 1,000 horse power is the standard power aboard the PB85. Up to 10,000 LT of fuel can be carried in her tanks. Additional specifications include a length of 27.55-meters with a beam of 6.76-meters.
