  1. First Viper 130 By Palumbo Superyachts
The first hull in the new Viper 130 from Palumbo Superyachts has been seem out in the open. No, it is not completed as yet but was seen in transfer for final outfitting. Remember, the model was introduced to the world in May 2024 and this first hull was sold to an American client.
  2. Perhaps one of the best features about the Viper 130 is the aft main cockpit area that blends into the vessel's beach club region. A lot of vessels in the 35 to 42-meter size bracket are really going after these open-air beach club and multipurpose cockpit areas. Benetti was one of the first mainstream companies to implement this type of aft deck design into their smaller offerings which they call the Oasis Deck-.
  3. However, Palumbo has taken the concept and elaborated and evolved on the idea creating a three-tiered area within the vertical space of a deck. The main cockpit area has al-fresco dining while the middle-tier is the main relaxing area with U-shaped aft-facing bench-style seating. There is also a large centrally-placed sunpad/seating area. Of course, you cannot forget the fold-down side terraces to complete the look and feel of the space. The last and lowest tier of the three is essentially the swim-platform which itself isn't just a plain swim-platform; there is a transformer integrated into it. It can serve as a embarkation/disembarkation device, a stairway into the water and a ladder out of the water and even a lift for some of the lighter toys.
  4. On the inside, the envisioned palette is light and airy accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows in some areas like the main-saloon/formal dining area. To aid in greater visibility and connection to the exterior there are sliding doors on each side which will promote cross-breeze when at anchor, and also greater views to the environment that the yacht maybe anchored in.
  5. The Viper 130 also has other areas geared towards the guest experience on the exterior. A massive sundeck region has been dedicated to guest use. It is so significant that it comprises of a secondary helm station forward, al-fresco dining, a bar, casual seating and then large sunpads aft. Feature-packed area but does not promote a cluttered space. Normally, one may find a jacuzzi on this deck however, they have decided to have this option on the bow.
  6. All of this guest space leaves no room for the tender. The 5-meter tender will live in a transverse garage with entry and egress from a starboard side shell door. There is a five cabin layout onboard for 10 guests. It is suggested that the master suite would be located midships to take advantage of the yacht's 7.9-meter beam in that area. Optionally, the master suite can be towards the bow giving advantage to a large walk-in closet space.
  7. In terms of power, the Viper 130 has two options which permit use of either triple MAN or MTU powerplants. You can expect the Viper 130 to attain a maximum speed of 33-knots while fast-cruising is set at 26-knots. The Viper 130 is the middle child of the Viper line. There are in fact two other stablemates of the Viper line including the Viper 100 and the Viper 140.
