  1. First Adventure 780 Launched By Outer Reef
The first hull in the Adventure 780 series has been launched. She has left the shed, splashed and preparing for sea trials. This is a monumental achievement for the yard is it marks their first steel-hulled expedition yacht. Bare in mind, Outer Reef Yachts has now merged with Lynx Yachts and are now building in Europe. We see the launch of the new vessel in this Nick Smits image.
  2. Last month, the yard published images of the yacht in its final phase of construction just before launching. This 24-meter steel explorer yacht exemplifies Outer Reef’s commitment to long-range performance. Designed for seasoned adventurers, the 780 combines rugged offshore capability with refined luxury. Her high-volume design, reinforced steel hull and stabilizers ensure seaworthiness, safety, and comfort—even in the most demanding conditions. Featuring customizable interiors, generous storage, and space for tenders and water toys, she is perfectly suited for extended voyages from the Mediterranean to the Arctic and beyond.
  3. The 780 Adventure represents as the first vessel from the new Adventure series. Yes it is a series and the yard announced earlier this year the 780 Adventure's stablemate and smaller sister, the 540 Adventure. The hull will be built of FRP materials though. For the bigger series-mate, she is powered by a pair of Cummins QSB 6.7 engines. These powerplants are sufficient to give her economical performance. In fact, the Adventure 780 is expected to get up to just 12.4-knots. Cruising is set a knot slower and the range is a respectable 3,000 nautical miles at 7-knots.
  4. The yacht itself has its Naval Architecture penned by Lynx Yachts while the exterior design is by Bernd Weel Design and the interiors are via Julian Moore Design. The Adventure 780 offers its interior accommodation configuration in 4 or 5 cabin layouts along with room for two crew cabins. As far as is aware, the vessel does not have an owner and therefore once completed will head to France for marketing to customers.
