News: OceAnco Launches 90M "DreAMBoat"

90-meter "DreAMBoat"/Y716 Launches At Oceanco

Dutch custom superyacht builder Oceanco launched their newest superyacht yesterday. The 90-meter vessel was under construction as hull Y716 otherwise known as Project 'Yasmin' but the builder is calling it "DreAMBoat". The design may look familiar because it is the work of Espen Oeino with an interior by Terence Disdale. She was built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The yard gives a slight glimpse as to some of the materials used onboard. Terence Disdale, has created an interior that incorporates bespoke surfaces, natural wood, limestone floors, semi-precious stone vanities, parchment, leather and mother of pearl. DreAMBoat is powered by a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M73Ls which should give her a top-end in the region of 18.5-knots. At 90-meters (295-feet) LOA she presents a healthy overall beam at 14.2-meters (that's around 47-feet). Her gross tonnage comes in at just under 3,000 GT (2,950) and this allows for voluminous interiors. "The overall effect," says Øino, "is a yacht with clean uncluttered lines and a coherent design." Onboard accommodation can sleep up to 23 guests along with a crew of up to 33.

The new yacht is said to be the owner's dreamboat and perfect yacht. Roderick Gort, Project Director at Oceanco, adds, "Launching DreAMBoat is an important milestone in the construction process of delivering 'the Owners Perfect Yacht'. We are looking forward to delivering DreAMBoat after her sea trials this spring, and welcoming her to the Oceanco family". Special features onboard include a large pool on the aft main deck , a jacuzzi on the sundeck as well as a private jacuzzi on the owner's deck. A touch-and-go helipad appears to be on the bow and uppermost aft deck. The interior design is sophisticated and serene with Disdale’s inimitable attention to detail. Nearly everything onboard from furniture to lighting is custom made. DreAMBoat is expected to be delivered later in the year just before Summer season after sea trials are completed. Trials are due to soon start.
