  1. 102-meter Concept 'BALANCE' By OceAnco
Dutch superyacht yard OceAnco has made its presence known at the in-process Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The announcement of a new concept with a 102-meter LOA has rolled off the reel. Dubbed concept 'BALANCE', the sleek design features lines by Sinot Yacht Design and Naval Architecture by Lateral.
  2. BALANCE is envisioned to have hybrid propulsion via two MTU 16V 2000 M72's that are to be configured in multiple operational modes. Top speed is 18.5-knots and at 16-knots the yacht can cruise for 5,300 nautical miles. The Naval Architecture should allow the vessel to be efficient for its size. "Where conventional designs of this size would employ a full height engine room, Project Balance can utilize a single tier design to deliver more benefits to the owner," said Alex Meredith Hardy who is Lateral's Principal Naval Architect. "The single tier engine room at the heart of the LIFE platform delivers greater accommodation and lifestyle space, more flexibility in layout, and, ultimately, a yacht of perfect balance."
  3. The aft deck is going to be a signature experience for guests onboard as the main pool is on the aft main deck that appears to glass-edged. Directly below it would be no surprise to find an extensive beach club. Jacuzzis exist on the forward upper deck and upper aft decks. There is a helipad on the long bow for helicopter touch-and-go operations. We are unsure if there is a hangar below the deck.
  4. Onboard up to fourteen guests can be slept. The main deck is home to the master suite as well as two VIP grade cabins/apartments. On the lower deck there are four doubles for the rest of the guests. The crew are also situated on the forward lower deck. The extensive implementation of glass onboard partly solidifies the philosophy of balance. This is a concept for now but being shown at the MYS it is there to stir further interest with the OceAnco yard.
