Northman 1300 Trawler from Northman Motor Yachts is an option for buyers looking to remain on the small end of the spectrum, or who prefer slow and easy over fast and inefficient. For the eco-conscious the Northman 1300 Trawler can be built as electric as well. The 1300 Trawler called "Grand Salmon" is electric and generates some of its electric power via photovoltaics on the roof. The vessel can also come diesel run. Max 1 x 370 horse power or 2 x 250 horse power.

Maximum number of cabins onboard is 3 and they are all below deck although a two-cabin layout offers more freedom in the compact space in the hull. The real question is how fast this trawler can go and how does it compare to a traditional diesel trawler of similar size. They suggest that at 6.5 kph or around 3.5-knots the range of the vessel is 330 kilometers which is around 178 miles. It is definitely suited for inland waterway and lake cruising. Since there is no fuel tankage for the electric Northman 1300 Trawler, the tankage is for fresh water and black water storage. There is provision for 500 LT of fresh water storage and 215 LT of black water. Onboard amenities include generous al-fresco seating with bench on the foredeck, Sofa with movable backrest to enjoy a different view every time, can also be converted to a sundeck for lying down. The living area on the main deck benefits from ample natural light, a small galley that feels more like a compact home kitchen, a dining table with a comfortable sitting area.

Principle dimensions include 12.66-meters in length with a 3.50-meter beam and a draft of just 0.80-meters. The vessel weighs approximately 8,000 kg. This family cruiser is perfect for a party of up to six people, offering all the comforts of home. While this particular model will appeal to many, the broader market appeal for international application might not be there in some segments of the clientele base.
