  1. New Electric Yacht Debuting In Autumn
Sialia Yachts is preparing to launch their Sialia 45, their first all-electric model this autumn. The company is presently in the final phases of work before they launch the new vessel to the water. As the name suggest, the craft is a 14-meter long vessel and is being touted as a performance cruiser.
  2. 300kW electric motors should be able to deliver a top speed of 43-knots. Power comes from standard 500 kWh battery packs that provide an estimated 55 nautical miles of range at 25-knots. Of course you do not need to run at 25-knots. However, with optional endurance packages the vessel's range can be extended to around 77 nautical miles. The yard is also suggesting optional biodiesel-compatible range extenders (140kW or 350kW) can increase maximum distance to 164 or 240 nautical miles respectively.
  3. The yard commented on the impending launch. Chief Commercial Officer at the yard Milvio Ricci, said: "Originally, we planned to launch the first yacht in summer, but decided to extend the timeline. It is not a delay; it is a choice to ensure the Sialia 45 exceeds every expectation."
  4. To appeal to as broad a market as possible, the yacht will be offered to the public in multiple configurations that permit choice and options to the customer. For example, the boat can come with an enclosed deckhouse or a center console or open deck runabout, a dayboat or weekender. As it is an electric vessel, the yard is also confirming comfort of rapid charging. For example, they suggest that from 10% to approximately 90% takes 2.5 hours.
