53-meter Explorer XP Sold At PBIBS

Mengi Yay has been working on a new model called the Explorer XP and the first hull has been sold at the ongoing Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS). The first hull is already under construction along with a second hull. The second hull is due for delivery in 2025. 498 GT is the expected volume and although she is 53-meters there was a conscious effort to keep the GT beneath the 500 threshold.

Naval Architecture of the vessel has been drawn in-house by the yard's own team while both the exterior and interior design is the work of the VYD Studio. There are now renderings available of what the interior should look like when the vessel is completed. Even though much of the furniture is built-in, the curvilinear form helps with visual separation as well as a sense of greater space onboard. Even in the cabins this technique by VYD has been employed. Just look at the bed, almost appears to be floating-off the edge of the wall. Onboard there will be five guest cabins to sleep a total of 10. 9 crew will be onboard as well.

This vessel offers her owner and guest a large pool on the aft main deck with fold-down bulwarks -a feature now becoming more of a standard fad-, option of a helipad on the deck above, internal tender storage on the lower deck. In terms of performance her top speed should be 15-knots using CAT power. Dial back to 12-knots to increase the range.
