  1. American Owner Soon To Get Lynx Crossover 27 "Avontuur"
An American owner specifically hailing from California will be the recipient of the first Lynx Crossover 27. The name of the yacht is "Avontuur" and it recently launched at the yard. Lynx Yachts describes to owner as sporty and outdoorsy. Slim Bouricha, Founder & Owner of Lynx Yachts, commented at the launch: "We are delighted to launch Avontuur following a fantastic and fruitful collaboration with her Californian owner. He is a seasoned and sporty yachtsman who was involved at every single level of the build, and it has been a real pleasure working together."
  2. Avontuur is expected to be delivered in April and will spend its first season in the Mediterranean for Summer cruising grounds before heading to the United States at the end of that season. The yacht is a performer too combining efficiency with power to provide both ends of the performance spectrum for the owner. The vessel’s power is provided by twin Caterpillar C12.9–2 x 850hpat 2300 rpm engines. Top speed is 14-knots while cruising is around 12.5-knots. The aft main deck is where the business end of the vessel is. The toys, an Air Nautique G23 and a five-meter RIB are stored here but when they are launched the are becomes a huge entertainment pad.
  3. Besides the aft main deck the sun deck also has storage apace for a couple more toys. The sundeck is equipped with a crane, and will house two Yamaha Waverunners and two stand-up jetskis. The lazarette/toy storage provides ample space for watersports equipment such as stand-up paddleboards, surfboards, canoes, scuba diving equipment and much more.
  4. Earlier we said once delivered she will head to the Mediterranean. The yard will actually be displaying the yacht at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September where Avontuur will make its debut as an individnual vessel and also the first unit in the Lynx Crossover 27 model. The vessel’s layout as conceived from the yard took into account for four stateroom layout which would, comprising an owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin, and two twin cabins with the crew quarters located aft of the engine room. However, the owner of this vessel went a different route with the accommodation layout. Avontuur offers three guest cabins and with the crew quarters also integrated into the guest space. The name Avontuur might seem a little odd for an American owner but the word translates as 'Adventure' and given what the yard said about the type of person the owner is, it fits perfectly.
