  1. Project 'Deep Blue' Emerges At Lurssen
Today marked the floating out of the 134.2-meter superyacht dubbed Project 'Deep Blue' by Lurssen. In normal Lurssen fashion distinct details about this yacht has been kept highly confidential. Naval Architecture is in-house from Lurssen. The last we saw of this vessel was back in 2023 when she was just bare-metal construction. We seen Project Deep Blue at launch here in images by Drduu.
  2. Although the project name is Deep Blue and she has banners on the name plates that are marked Deep Blue we will have to wait to see what her final name is. The immense yacht has been built from steel for the hull and aluminium for the superstructure and showcases long flowing lines from stem to stern The striking blue superstructure bears some similarities with previous Lurssen builds like "Ahpo" however, it is the colour combination that reminds us most of the Oceanco build "KAOS".
  3. This is a large superyacht stretching 134.2-meters in length and with an immense beam of 19.8-meters and an estimated draft of 5-meters. Her internal volume has been estimated to be in the region of 9,000 GT but Lurssen is yet to give specifics. Some of her visible attributes include a large pool on the aft main deck and a large jacuzzi/dippool on the upper aft deck. The aft decks make no arrangements for helicopter operations but the bow certainly carries the main helipad appearing to have capacity for D14 size craft. In terms of power, it is suggested that she carries 8 MTU powerplants. Once completed this year, the yacht will enter into the top 30 largest superyachts in the world.
