  1. Van der Valk 30-meter Explorer Design
Dutch yard Van der Valk and Guido de Groot have teamed up on a 30-meter design for an explorer type yacht which essentially looks nothing more than a pocket megayacht. The term explorer should be utilized lightly here but the agility of this vessel should be noted with spritely speeds using a fast displacement hull. Her overall looks have been kept to a minimum thanks to a low profile lending to a sleeker appearance. She doesn't rise much higher than two decks with the navigational area being of the raised pilothouse configuration. It also allows for ample space on the sundeck above which has a secondary navigation station, bar, al fresco dining, grill, space to lounge as well as space for the tender towards the aft of this deck.
  2. Accommodation onboard appears to be for up to ten in five cabins. The master cabin is full beam and located on the forward end of the main deck. It comes with a large skylight in the ceiling which is sure to add more natural light to the space combined with the large side glazing. The yacht, according to the yard has been designed for family utilization in mind. A small beach club, hydraulic swim platform, full walkaround deck are some of the good features on this 100-foot yacht. The Van der Valk 30-meter appears to be just a design at this stage but it is surely well-within the capability and scope for the Dutch yard to build.
