  1. Project 'Apex' By Lloyd Werft Yachts
Most know that large yards like Lloyd Werft do not build yachts on a small scale. With the completion of their last oversized project "Solaris", the yard is now setting its sights on snagging another client for another large project. With the opening of the 2021 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) today, Lloyd Werft has unveiled a new design for a go-anywhere 115-meter explorer yacht called Project 'Apex'. The design is by the A Group with Naval Architecture in-house by Lloyd Werft themselves and of course they can build the yacht should a client prefer that arrangement.
  2. Looking at the design and it is evident the yacht is proposed to carry large tenders and toys and take them anywhere. With a suggested range of 9,000 nautical miles there is really nowhere this design could not take you. The bow has been designed to take on big seas while allowing for ice capability. The aft deck can take up to two 20-meter tenders as the rendering suggests; a sailboat and an express cruiser. The interior will have massive volumes thanks to an estimated 8,000 GT and 18.5-meter beam.
  3. Up to 48 crew members can be accommodated to serve as many as 22 guests. Guest accommodation ranges in size and is located between the Main Deck and the Upper Decks. This yacht is large and as a result of the proposed guest count will have large capacity venues. An upper deck saloon features a table that can seat up to 26 persons at once. A large infinity pool sits on the aft upperdeck straddled by the two main tenders just below on either side. Several large shell-doors in the hull conceal further tender storage but also open up prime superyacht venues like massage, spa and gym and beach club facilities. A large helipad on the aft with a hangar exists on the aft end of the vessel. With a bow that rises 4 decks above the waterline creating reassuring protection to six decks for guests to be able to peruse her 8,000 GT interiors, this world-trotting explorer design is ready for the right client to sign the dotted-line.
