  1. 18-meter Carbon Sportfish By Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders
Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders in New Zealand is a name typically known for building custom boat projects and yacht tenders. One of their newer projects currently under construction is an 18-meter sportfish boat made from carbon. Dennis Harjamaa of Artnautica Yacht Design is responsible for the design of the yacht. Propulsion is via Volvo Penta IPS system ( 2 x VP D11 IPS 800 625 hp each )which is compact enough it creates space-savings on any yacht it is installed on. In the case of this 60-foot sportfish, it frees up the volume under the pilothouse instead of being an engine room. This space is then used for tankage, storage and mechanical equipment needed to be self-sustaining for long periods.
  2. "It’s a perfect project for LSB; we are experienced in this kind of quality light-weight construction and the custom nature of the build is our strength. The owners have taken a keen interest in every aspect of the boat since the first design stroke and the whole team is excited to bring this handsome, innovative boat to reality" Luke Hill, Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders. At 18-meters long, the boat has a beam of around 5.6-meters and a draft of just 1.27-meters. Below is a ghosted image showing the internals of the Lloyd Stevenson Carbon 18-meter Sportfish. With the Volvo Penta IPS setup previously mentioned the yacht is anticipated to be able to max-out at just above 30-knots and have an autonomy at 10-knots over 1,200 nautical miles. This yacht is expected to be launched in early 2022.
