News: Johnson Yachts Deliver 112' "Mitan"

The largest Johnson yacht to date has finally been delivered to her American owner. The Johnson 112 is named "Mitan" and now represents the company's flagship. This yacht started construction on speculation and luckily picked up an owner later in the build process. The design lines you see on the exterior are by Dixon Yacht Design. She was expected to be handed over in late January or early February but it appears she was delivered in mid-April.

If Mitan looks similar to Johnson's 105 model, then you would not be incorrect for thinking this. She is a larger cockpit version to the 105. Three decks made from GRP materials hold the vessel's general arrangement. On the lower deck, guest and crew accommodation reside. There is a five cabin layout for up to twelve guests. Yes, two of the cabins feature pullman berths which explains why twelve guests can fit in only five cabins.

In terms of performance, Mitan should realize a top speed in the region of 23-knots thanks to her twin 1,925 horse power CAT ACERT marine diesels. Her principle dimensions are, an LOA of 34-meters, an overall beam of 7.20-meters and a draft of just under 2.00-meters. The owner plans to spend out Summer in the Alaskan region before heading to her home base in the Autumn.
