  1. 29.8-meter Sportfish In Build By Jim Smith Boats
The large sportfish boat trend continues with the latest build, a 29.8-meter vessel by Jim Smith Tournament Boats. You might remember the 32-meter "Marlena" as one of their most significant builds to date. The new 100-foot yacht under construction will be their second largest only to Marlena. The 100-footer is being called "Ovation" by Jim Smith Boats but it is unclear if this will be her final name.
  2. Ovation is going to be their second largest sportfish boat but it is also their largest convertible and it's being built for a repeat client of the yard. Jim Smith Tournament Boats have not given a lot of details concerning their newest build but they simply say, "stay tuned!" We do know that Ovation will be powered by a pair of 2600 HP MTU diesels.
  3. Jim Smith Tournament Boats says that Ovation is expected for completion in mid-2020. One of the last builds from this company was a 48-foot walkaround sportfisher called "Two Krickets" featuring outboard power via four engines. Jim Smith doesn't suggest what the stop speed is with the pair of MTU diesels for Ovation but it is safe to say she will be a performance oriented tournament fisher.
