  1. Long Island 86 Power Unveiled By JFA Yachts
The Long Island model from JFA Yachts is continuing to grow and the latest addition to it -at least in concept form- is the Long Island 86 Power. Big volumes especially deck-related real estate is one of the big aspects on this type of vessel. The design is via Marc Lombard who penned a power catamaran for those who love indoor/outdoor living with great ease of access to the water. In fact Lombard said the new line should be, "simple, efficient, seaworthy and refined."
  2. On the interior up to eight (8) guests can sleep in the four large cabins. Of course one of them is an owner suite which would be reserved for the owner or principal guests. The massive saloon area has windows all around and has a direct link towards the bow. The bow itself is a large space too. Featuring a fully solid-teaked surface (on many sailing cats a one or two bow nets are usually installed). There is sunken lounge space as well great for cocktails and relaxing. The massive real estate can be fitted with loose furniture, beanbags, etc to be configured how an owner prefers.
  3. The opposite end hosts the aft cockpit area which is also a sizable space. This area comprises of an al-fresco dining area, lounging, sunlounging, etc. It also features direct access to the sugar scoops of the hulls. Additionally the hi-low platform between the hulls which is typically used for tender storage can actually be brought to the level of the hulls making a large aft area to lounge by the waterline. Upstairs is the flybridge which consists of another large entertainment area aft of the secondary helm position. Comfortable sofas, loungers and chairs line this deck space reminding you of its purpose.
  4. The Long Island 86 Power will be built with aluminium hulls and the superstructure will be from composite material. JFA is offering the vessel with hybrid propulsion or conventional propulsion. The vessel is 26.2-meters long or around 86.6-feet which adds another model to the Long Island line up . So far, this line features the Long Island 78 (an example was completed a year or two ago), the Long Island 85 and now the Long Island 86 Power.
